grendel, i swear, is now in my top ten favorite books. it is so beautifully written, clever, astounding, powerful! it made me think. i finished this book a few days ago and it has been all that i can talk about! i relate every situation to grendel and his life. everything i say has an undertone of grendel. this book is very philosophical. it may seem so vast and scary; if that is keeping you from reading, please, just read it anyway. any philosophical meaning will come to you in time. i'm still unsure of a bit of the symbolism, but i know that with a little more thought, it will become clear as day!
READ GRENDEL!! DO IT! RIGHT NOW! TODAY!
p.s. i am so terribly sorry that i haven't written in so long. i haven't been reading as much as i should be; senior year isn't forgiving at all.
