today was a snow day, so, naturally, i had to read a trashy novel. snogging was quite trashy and VERY hilarious. i was cracking up all afternoon. honestly, i am so tacky, i watched the movie version of the book forever ago and i've wanted to read the book ever since but i was too embarrassed by the title. this book is the first of a series, and if i ever have time, i will definitely read the others.

Heartbeat by: Sharon Creech

i read this book a while back and forgot how much i loved it. a friend of mine showed it to me again the other day and i am so happy that he did.
sharon creech is one of my favorite authors. walk two moons and heartbeat are probably her best novels; chasing redbird is maybe in third place, and absolutely normal chaos is in fourth.
heartbeat is written in the format of a poem and it is perfect. sharon creech writes with so much heart and love, i find it hard not to relate to her characters.
